A smaller 3.4 acre park that offers a playground, basketball court, soap box derby when in use, picnic area, shelter and grill, public restrooms and a sledding hill for winter. Walk the 2 mile bike trail all the way around starting from the parking lot area, through the woods, behind the water filtration plant, down the boardwalk along the Lake Michigan Shoreline and back around. There is a wide open field in the center of the park. No fenced in areas so dogs need to be leashed. Take a hike up the sand dune at the end of the parking lot. A sledding hill in the winter and a hiking hill in the warmer seasons. Atop the hill you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of Lake Michigan.

This 54.5 acre Lakeshore beach fills the gap between Pere Marquette Park and Kruse Park. You can swim here at your own risk as there are no lifeguards on duty. Visitors will enjoy scenic views, sand dunes and plenty of lightly used beach access on Lake Michigan. Park your vehicle on Beach Street, Beachwood Park or Kruse Park to access this beach. The shortest walk in is from Beach St. Boaters can anchor near the beach and wade into the shoreline if desired. A safer place to anchor would be just north in the Muskegon Channel between the lighthouses.

Located near Marquette school, Beukema Playfield is a 10 acre park with a playground, 3 softball fields, 4 shuffleboard courts, open field for other sports, 2 public restrooms and a nice picnic area for the whole family. Muskegon High School uses this park for Varsity and JV games. In addition, this is the park that the City softball games are hosted. lots of large oak trees to provide shade for a picnic. Parking lot shared with Marquette School. Chain-link fenced fields.

As indicated in the name, this public park is a tiny tot lot. Less than 1 acre in size, Beidler Street Tot Lot offers a sandy surface playground area and a little open space. Surrounded by residential properties, but available to all the public. Located near Henry St and Lyman Street. Turn North on Beidler and park is located at the end of the culdesac.

Not a park as much as it is just a public boat launch into Muskegon Lake next to the old Paper Mill on Lakeshore Dr. You do have to pay to use this boat ramp but it’s self serve for those who come in last minute. Limited parking, small beach better for fishing than swimming and a port-a-potty located on site during warmer months.
